On the blinding, sun-bleached expanse of the Great Salt Basin, a solitary mute courier named Vex rides a stark black jet-cycle carrying a glowing cryogenic bio-chamber. When a mercenary squad led by the heavily scarred warlord Kael intercepts her route using giant wheel-tanks, a high-speed survival pursuit begins. Vex uses the landscape's features—dust storms, mirror-like salt flats, and abandoned megastructure ruins—to destroy Kael's lieutenants one by one through precise maneuvers and explosive traps. Mid-way through, her bike is wrecked in a canyon choke point, forcing a brutal foot chase and hand-to-hand combat inside a rusting sky-crane. Bleeding and exhausted, Vex trick-leads Kael onto a paper-thin salt crust over a geothermal vent, plunging him into the abyss. She crawls the remaining mile to the neon-lit sanctuary border, delivering the viable pulse-chamber just as the sun sets.
