SPIRESPAN: Storm Crossing

The story

In a flooded post-industrial wasteland, courier Jax accepts a dangerous contract to carry a glowing fusion battery across the derelict Sky-Bridge, the only link between two isolated spire cities. Shortly after starting the high-altitude crossing, Jax is ambushed by mercenary captain Vane and his squad of jetpack-equipped enforcers. Outgunned, Jax uses high-wire rigging, magnetic boots, and heavy steel cables to fight off the attackers while the battery on her back grows increasingly unstable. Mid-bridge, Vane detonates the main suspension anchors, plunging the road deck into the churning ocean below and trapping Jax on a swinging steel truss. In a dramatic climax on the crumbling bridge tower, Jax manually triggers an overcharge in the battery, releasing a massive electromagnetic shockwave that disables Vane's flight armor and sends him plunging into the abyss. Exhausted and wounded, Jax uses her line launcher to zipline down the last remaining support cable onto the destination platform, delivering the power core just as the sun breaks through the storm.
