The story

When the celestial sun shatters, Kaelen extracts its last molten ember into a brass lattice cage and embarks on a perilous pilgrimage across a frozen, lightless world. He is pursued across the petrified tundra by the Frost King and his ice-monsters, who seek to extinguish the flame forever. Along the journey, Kaelen traverses the perilous Ossuary Bridge with the help of Vespera, a blind mystic who sacrifices her life to hold off a relentless blizzard of wraiths. Bleeding and battered, Kaelen climbs the sheer walls of the Glacier Pass to reach the Apex Beacon. In a final, brutal confrontation atop the snowy peak, Kaelen shatters his own body to fuel the ember with his living warmth, throwing himself into the brazier to unleash a tidal wave of solar fire that destroys the Frost King and restores light to the realm.
