The story

At twilight, mechanic Mara brings her young son Leo to her late-shift job at a remote automated redwood sawmill. Deep underground drilling unleashes the Root Leviaths—towering, petrified wood creatures with glowing amber resin veins that mimic surrounding timber to ambush prey. The creatures slaughter the skeletal night crew and cut power, trapping Leo in the elevated glass control tower while Mara is stranded in the lumber yard. Mara uses heavy machinery and flares to fight her way across the misty, creature-infested grounds, dodging camouflage strikes from dead-looking tree trunks. After descending into the mill's subterranean root foundation to retrieve spare fuel, Mara destroys the main creature nest using a flood of volatile hydraulic resin. She reaches the control tower just as the massive Alpha Leviath breaches the glass, forcing Mara into a brutal finale where she uses a massive timber-claw rig to grind the creature into splintered ash, escaping into the dawn light with Leo.
